Baby O Recommended Products: Talli Baby Logger

With a newborn on the way (Baby girl due December 2021!), I'm getting back into "newborn mom" mode. I've been thinking about how to make this go-round a little easier, and what things I feel like I would have wanted more support on with my older boys.

So today I wanted to introduce you all to the tally tracker - The Talli Baby Logger! I did a post about this on my Instagram but today I wanted to do more of a full post on it and all the amazing features that it offers because it's really pretty cool!

I know with my boys especially with Owen, my oldest, I didn't really have anything to track what he was doing each day. The pediatrician would ask me "how many wet diapers has he had?" or "how many poops has he had?" and I really didn't have a way to tell him. I kind of made things up and just said "you know, I think the normal amount. I'm really not sure."

This time I'm actually excited to be able to know, document and to be able to keep track of all those things so I can give accurate answers to make sure that things actually really are normal. But if not, then I'm able to address it in a more useful and data based place.

Tracking Late Night Feeds

Even with breastfeeding both boys I would try that hair tie trick where I would remember to put the hair tie on the side that you're starting to feed on. Then the next time I would remember to switch it and start on that side the next time. But guess what? At two in the morning I wouldn't remember to switch the hair tie, or things would just be so crazy with nursing while a toddler was running around that I forget to switch the hair tie. So as amazing as I thought that plan was, it really didn't end up being that way. Now I am super excited to walk you through the Talli One-step logger with you today. This way those things don't happen to me again!

From the picture you can see there are so many different buttons. So in the box you get this nice little box that's all put together. Inside the box you also these instructions on exactly how to use it. Which is huge because the troubleshooting part of a new device as a new mom, or even if you're an experienced mom, can he hard. Having step-by-step instructions of exactly how to download the app and how to use it helps! It explains how other people can hop on the app and use it as well. That makes it just super super easy so, if I'm watching the baby then I can put everything in, but if I'm taking a nap and my husband is watching the baby he can put it in. If my parents are here and they're watching the baby so we can get a little bit of a break, they can put it also. Either way everybody can have access to all the data and make sure that it's totally up to date.

The little bottle button is for a bottle feeding, the spoon is solid foods. There's a wet diaper; it has the number one, and there is another diaper for number two. I saw on the Talli Instagram page that you can press them both together if there are two things in that diaper, which that's actually really helpful too! There's a sleep timer that you press once baby goes to sleep, and again when they wake up. You don't have to record the time, you don't have to remember the timing, all you have to do is push a button!

There's a nursing timer at night you press once when baby starts nursing and again when they stop. You can track by side in the app if needed as well. And yes, that's needed and I will 100% be doing that!! There's a pumping timer as well that you press once when you start pumping, and again when you stop. Easily enter amount pumped or track time by side.

Miscellaneous Tracking Options!

The last one button on the device says "miscellaneous" so you can make that to whatever you need. You can use it to track medications, therapies, bath time, tummy time, anything you want! It's amazing that you can be able to track that. I definitely had a little bit of a fear with Baby J that he had a flat spot. I was so adamant about doing as much tummy time as I could. If I could have used this "miscellaneous" button, that would have been super helpful for me just to be able to know "okay I'm doing tummy time, my husbands doing tummy time, my parents are doing tubby time." I really just would have felt good to know how much tummy time are we actually doing.

All of these buttons are super easy to use, you just tap until you hear a little click! Batteries go right in the back and are easy to put in. The instructions will also tell you how to connect to the app. If you're not able to do it you can easily ask questions via their chat. You can log by voice!
