Baby O and I Recommended Products: Regalo Toddler Cot
This post we are going to talk about the Regalo toddler cot and how awesome it is, and how much you need it for your next vacation!
We recently went on a trip and I got this for our three-year-old to use, and I can say that it was wonderful. I'm so glad that we had it. I did not want to bedshare or have him in an open queen bed, and in a hotel room there weren't many other options. Below I'm going to share the top three reasons why if you have a toddler this is the cot you need when you travel.
Number one: it's super portable and easy to use
In the picture above, the Regalo Toddler Cot is all laid out, but if you want to condense it all you do is just pull it up - it's literally that easy! It fits nicely into a suitcase, but we were going on a car trip I just popped it in the trunk area. The cot didn't take up much space at all. The only thing that I would say was a little disappointing is that didn't come with a little carrying bag. It just folds up, but can easy unfold if not tucked into a small space. But that's kind of a small thing I just wasn't thrilled about. Other than it might open up while you're traveling but if you have it tightly compacted and stored then it will stay closed. Then once you're ready to use it you just pull it out, and push it open.
Number two: It fits in a Slumberpod
You all know that I'm a huge fan of slumberpods, and this fits perfectly into the slumber pod! I you would have to do is lay down the summerpod fabric, insert the poles, and you're ready to go! It easily cleared the cot so my 3 year old was able to crawl right, in lay down, and fall asleep. It comes with this fitted sheet, so you don't have to worry about bringing an extra if you don't want to. However, I also recommend bringing a familiar sheet so your little one will feel more at home. All you do is just pop the fitted sheet right over it the cot, over the fitted sheet that comes with the cot and your done! One thing another thing I didn't love was that it kind of bunches up a little bit once the fitted sheet is on. But once your little one lays down I noticed that it just lays flat and doesn't seem uncomfortable. Once my 3 year old laid down flat and had his pillow and blankets on it, it was no big deal at all.
Number three: It fits bigger children
Something that I was really worried about was that he's way too big for something like a pack n play, but not old enough to just go to bed and fall asleep with us all in the room. The Regalo Toddler Cot was long enough and it was wide enough that I didn't feel like he felt nervous that he was like balancing on this small space, or that he was too long and his toes were hanging off the edge. On their website says that this cot goes from two to five years old, so he still well within the age range. He likes to be kind of tucked into a lot of blankets, but he still had some room at the end of the cot, and I was easily able to tuck him and not worry about him being too long or feeling uncomfortable. It will fit your child up to five years old, so that's a huge range. Luckily we still have at least two more years to get out of this, so if you are looking for a cot you found one!
I personally got our cot on amazon and it came very quickly so you know if you are going away soon and you're just seeing this review, you still have time just hop on the Reglao website or Amazon and you can get shipped really quick!
